 Boat Ramp Permits

Council have implemented fee systems to assist with maintenance costs of boat ramp infrastructure. The two fee systems are located at the Port MacDonnell and Blackfellows Caves Boat Ramp areas.

Since 1 July 2015 all users of the Boat Ramp whom launch or retrieve a boat are required to pay a fee. The quantum of these are set by Council and reviewed annually. The fees are set to reflect the forecast ongoing maintenance and compliance monitoring over the estimated life of the boat ramp, as well as servicing of the Port MacDonnell Offshore Angling Club loan.

Separate fees are applicable to recreational users and commercial/professional operators.

All permits must be displayed on vehicle windscreen, affixed to trailer or similar. The permit is valid from the date of purchase to the following day, week, month or year according to the length of permit purchased.
